CDW 2025 Essence of Italy4

Caesar’s presence in London dates back to 2007, with the opening of the Caesar D-sign Centre in Covent Garden, becoming one of the first Italian ceramic companies to establish itself in the country with a mono-brand showroom. Since 2015, the space has evolved into Caesar Urban Lab, a format designed to offer designers personalised technical advice and support. Located in the Clerkenwell district, Urban Lab sits within an international hub dense with architectural studios, material showrooms and companies in the construction and furniture sectors—an established and dynamic design ecosystem further enriched by events such as Clerkenwell Design Week.

The London model has inspired the creation of a network of Urban Labs, later expanded to Paris and Milan, now anchoring the European capitals of architecture and design where project culture is shaped every day.

Material Connections celebrates this journey and the ten years of the Urban Lab format through the concept that has always defined it: the relationship between materials and design processes, between technical knowledge and creative vision, between individual professional practices and the collective culture of making architecture. Caesar’s commitment to dialogue with the design community is renewed through a space that, for nearly twenty years, has offered tools, expertise, workshops and opportunities for exchange at the heart of one of the world’s most influential cities for contemporary design.
