Clerkenwell Design Week 2022 Caesar Ceramics, The unique ‘material culture’ that identifies us comes from more than 30 years experience and innovation in the field of high-quality Italian porcelain tile, a guarantee of comprehensive technical know-how.

CDW Apertura

The Clerkenwell Design Week, the UK's leading independent design festival is back, even richer and more involving. For eleven years it has been attracting the most important furniture and interior design brands to fill the streets of London with innovation products.

From 24 to 26 May, the areas around Clerkenwell - London's design district par excellence - will become open-air showcases to welcome the many visitors who are waiting for this "architectural fashion" event to stock up on ideas, inspiration and novelties. Exhibitions, talks, seminars and special events are the main attractions of CDW; they will be hosted in the ten exhibition venues and 125 permanent showrooms.

Caesar, the first ceramic company to settle in the European design capital back in 2016 with its proprietary London Urban Lab showroom, is ready to welcome visitors to the event in the name of sustainability.

Photographic Project

Ceramic furnishing proposals are completed by Anima Futura - inspired by the timeless elegance of marble - and Key_Mood, a minimalist interpretation of stone; they will also uncover the journey through the details of the material that fashion and design photographer Claudia Zalla2 made in the exhibition set up exclusively for Caesar: "A matter of details".

A detail, according to one of its many definitions, is a tiny and subtle circumstance. Something that happens on a small scale and requires an attentive look to be perceived. In the details of the Key_Mood and Anima Futura collections, Claudia Zalla offers an invitation to get closer. To make the gaze macroscopic to catch a glimpse of something new: in the colours as well as in the finishes.

Craft Workshops

The London Urban Lab's CDW will also feature workshops open to the public where craftsmanship will be the driving force: from Kintsugi - the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the breakage with powdered precious metals -, to the artistic use of ceramic surfaces, to give collective making a new look of serenity.
