CLERKENWELL DESIGN WEEK: A SUCCESS CALLED CAESAR

07-06-2017

At just a few days from the end of the Clerkenwell Design Week, the London week dedicated to design and architectural trends, Ceramiche Caesar is making its overall, positive assessment of the three days during which the Urban Lab - the single-brand showroom of the company in 17/18 Great Sutton Street - welcomed  over 1000 visitors, including architects, journalists, designers and students.

During the design week in London, we presented, for the first time in Europe, Fabula and Anima Select, the new Caesar porcelain stoneware collections. Great interest has been addressed to the CrossDesign Contest 2017, the contest for international architects and designers. Inspired by the CrossDesign Magazine 2016-2017, a tool and guideline for design developed and published by Ceramiche Caesar, the contest invites people working in the sector to create an architectural project for an area of the new Caesar Gallery, the company showroom that will be opened in September 2017.

From May 23 to 25, the Urban Lab has become a meeting place for professionals of the sector that have had the opportunity to experience a dynamic approach to design that takes account of the latest trends in the field of ceramics but also in the fields of fashion and visual art in general. This concept has been perfectly expressed by the three live performances of Curtis Hylton, a London artist of the Graffiti Life team, chosen by Caesar to enliven the afternoon events of the Urban Lab. In fact, Curtis has used the 120x120 cm ceramic slabs as backgrounds for his own interpretation of the three inspiration moods Rise, Reverb and Peaceful, namely the three interior design trends described in the 2016-2017 edition of the CrossDesign Magazine, to give life to real works of art capable of combining the aesthetic quality of  Caesar porcelain stoneware with the bright shapes and colours of street art.

Urban Lab, in 17/18 Great Sutton Street – Clerkenwell, London, is open Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 17.00
